GENERAL INFORMATION: Weather in Sardinia

Sardinia is an island located in the Mediterranean, and features a typical Mediterranean subtropical climate. It is characterized by mild, but rainy weather in winter, and hot and dry summers, which is why we offer trips in spring and fall seasons (from April to mid-June and from mid-September to November).

Sardinia is an island of the sun – the average number of sunny days each year often reaches 300. In the mountains it can snow in the winter. The average annual temperature in Sardinia is from 11 to 17 degrees Celsius (52 to 63 degrees Fahrenheit). A northwest wind that blows mainly in winter and spring is characteristic of the island. It can blow pretty hard, but is usually dry and mild. It is worth remembering that in this part of the Apennine Peninsula summer ends earlier than in the south of Italy.
